Tequila

Stop by Caraluzzi's Wine & Spirits to see our selection of Tequilas. We have Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Mezcal varieties from numerous distilleries including locally-made Agave Spirits, popular and traditional favorites, and celebrity brands.

Popular Varieties of Tequila

BLANCO (white) or PLATA (silver)

Unaged, it can be bottled directly after distillation or rested in stainless steel or neutral oak barrels to allow oxidation for up to two months. These have a bold taste and work well in cocktails.

REPOSADO

Must be aged in oak barrels of unspecified size or vats called ‘pipones’ for a minimum of two months and up to a maximum of 12 months. Best for mixed drinks and sipping.

AÑEJO

Must be aged in oak casks with a maximum capacity of 158 gallons for at least one year, or between one and three years. These often have a toasty, vanilla and citrus flavor.

MEZCAL

Can be made from more than 30 varieties of agave, not just the blue variety, and can be produced in different regions of Mexico than tequila. It’s typically cooked inside earthen pits to give it a smokiness. It’s then aged inside oak barrels.

Top Sellers

Casamigos Tequila

Casamigos

One of our most popular tequilas

On the rocks, by the shot or straight from the bottle, Casamigos comes in four varieties: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and Mezcal.

Longtime friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman had the idea to make the best-tasting, smoothest Tequila and Mezcal that didn’t have to be covered up with salt or lime. The result of this celebrity-owned tequila is Casamigos, distilled in Jalisco, Mexico and found in all four of liquor stores.
